Arts, Culture, & Creativity Month – Oxnard Kickoff

Celebrate Downtown Oxnard’s new Cultural District—art, coffee, pop-ups & creatives kick off Arts Month at the Transit Center!
Arts, Culture & Creativity Month 2026 – Oxnard Cultural District Kick-Off
Join Oxnard’s creative community on Wednesday, April 1 at 2 pm for a special kickoff celebrating the newly designated Downtown Oxnard Cultural District as part of Arts, Culture & Creativity Month this April. This event centers the people, places, and creative energy that define the district—marking an exciting new chapter for arts and culture in the heart of the city.
Hosted by the City of Oxnard, Downtown Oxnard Improvement Association, and Oxnard Performing Arts Center Nonprofit, the gathering will take place at the John C. Zaragoza Oxnard Transit Center—an inspired, art-filled setting featuring vibrant murals, bespoke coffee from Dolce Vita, and a series of pop-up artistic engagements that invite attendees to experience the district in motion.
The program will highlight the artists, organizations, and creative businesses shaping Downtown’s cultural landscape—each contributing to a district that is deeply rooted, artist-led, and distinctly Oxnard.
Arts, Culture & Creativity Month is a statewide initiative led by California for the Arts, recognizing the vital role of arts and culture in building connected, resilient communities. This kickoff event places Downtown Oxnard’s Cultural District at the forefront of that movement—celebrating a collective vision for a thriving, inclusive, and authentically homegrown creative future.
Come experience the energy of the Cultural District, connect with local creatives, and help launch a month of arts and culture across Oxnard and beyond.
