The Downtown Vision Plan, drafted in February 2016, by the California Chapter of the Congress for the New Urbanism provides a comprehensive road map for the realization of a vibrant urban village. The report is the result of a 3-day intensive community charrette involving local property owners, merchants, and residents.
Downtown Zoning Code
Approved by the City Council in September 2019, the Downtown Code represents the first major update of the Development Standards, Design Guidelines and Parking Regulations in decades. The Code is an integral strategy in making new development projects possible.

The Development Services Department publishes a monthly report on current residential, commercial and mixed-use projects proposed throughout the city including the Downtown.
