Fresh & Fabulous Celebrates a Decade Downtown

Ten years in business calls for a major celebration and today Magda Weydt, owner of the popular Fresh & Fabulous Cafe in downtown Oxnard, announced that it would honor the occasion on Saturday, November 12, 2016. The day will include the official grand opening of its new location at 221 West Fifth Street, and a customer appreciation day, all day long, with special discounts on its menu, live music, activities for kids and giveaways.

“It’s been an amazing journey every step of the way,” said Magda Weydt, Owner and Registered Dietitian. “From our small baking space of less than 1,000 square feet, to the next space on the corner, and now this new location,” said Weydt.

The November 12 celebration will take place during the cafe’s regular Saturday business hours from 7:30 AM – 4 PM. The entire menu that day will include a 2-for-1 special on all breakfast and lunch items.

From 11 AM – 1 PM, kids and family will have a chance to meet and greet and take pictures with their favorite new princess and a web-action superhero. Tickets for the meet and greet are free with any purchase from the cafe’s menu between October 24-November 12.

From 2 – 4 PM, there will be a live performance by the local band, Group Hug. DJ Electronic will be mixing his selection of popular songs all afternoon.
Because it’s customer appreciation day, Fresh & Fabulous Cafe will raffle off prizes throughout the day. Goodies include cafe gift cards valued at $100, $50 and $25, t-shirts and caps from the new George Lopez owned Fifty150 apparel store in downtown, and annual movie passes to Plaza Cinemas 14. There will also be an opportunity for visitors to leave a personal message on the cafe’s 10-year anniversary banner.

Visitors can also share selfies and foodie pictures on social media by using the hashtag, #freshandfab10. Special geofilters will also be available on the cafe’s Snapchat account at freshandfabcafe.

“I’ve learned so much from all of the staff members that have been along for the ride and from the people that I’ve interacted with in the community,” said Weydt. “It’s been a great personal and business experience and I’m looking forward to what the next 10 years will bring,” added Weydt.
