68th Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony
Friday, Nov. 30th, 5:30 p.m. at Plaza Park

Join community leaders, Downtown merchants, and friends in a festive tradition going back six decades to light up the County’s tallest Christmas tree – 110 feet high! Entertainment, complimentary refreshments, and Santa’s arrival ring in the season. FREE. For more information, call 805-247-0197.


13th Annual Winter Fantasy Music & Light Show
Dec. 1st – Jan. 1st, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. nightly at Plaza Park

The Historic Pagoda becomes a high-tech interactive experience allowing visitors to participate in a spectacular computer-orchestrated show featuring over 30,000 flashing colored lights, holiday music, animated characters and lit trees.


Oxnard Christmas Parade
Saturday, Dec. 1st, 10 a.m. to noon in Downtown

The Annual Oxnard Christmas Parade themed “Christmas Under the Sea” is a family favorite tradition. Enjoy the sights and sounds of colorful marching bands, equestrian units, local school groups, floats and a visit from Santa! The Parade route runs through A, 5th and C Streets in Downtown Oxnard.

11th Annual Oxnard Tamale Festival
Saturday, Dec 1st, 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Plaza Park

12th Annual Holly Trolley Tours
Dec. 12th, 13th, & 14th, at 6, 7 and 8 p.m. Departs from Centennial Plaza

Climb aboard a grand double-decker for a 50-minute guided tour of Downtown and the Historic District’s spectacular display of holiday lights and décor. Includes a stop at Heritage Square for hot cocoa and cookies. Prepaid reservations are a must. $12  per person.

Santa will be arriving on Saturday December 3rd, and will be available for photos (Saturdays and Sundays Only through December 24th) at Centennial Plaza from 12 noon to 4 p.m.

Heritage Square Holiday Tours & 10th Annual Gingerbread House Contest
Weekends from Dec. 3rd – Dec. 17th, (weekdays by appointment) Heritage Square, 715 South A St.

Costumed docents present guided tours of elegantly decorated Victorian homes ($5 donation suggested). Admire the imagination and artistry of handmade gingerbread houses inside the historic chapel. For more information and reservations, call 805-483-7960 ext. 4.

Santa to Lights Marathon and Relay
Sunday, Dec. 9th, 7:30 a.m., citywide including route through Downtown

Run for fun! Run for joy! Run for the kids!  Run in a costume!  The Santa to the Lights Marathon, 2 Person Relay and 5K Fun Run helps collect toys for underprivileged children in the community and also provides scholarships to local high school seniors and continuing students to attend Oxnard College.
