Juneteenth is the oldest known celebration commemorating the ending of slavery in the United States. Juneteenth celebrates African American freedom and achievement, while encouraging continuous self-development and respect for all cultures. Ventura County’s Juneteenth Celebrations is held in the second Saturday in June in historic Plaza Park in downtown Oxnard. The festivities begin from 10 AM to 5 PM.

The FREE, fun filled day for the entire family (ALL AGES) will feature Free Health Screenings and a wide array of African-American music, art and history and culture.
