Call for Board Nominations
The Oxnard Downtown Improvement District, a non-profit organization with the mission to create a culturally and economically vibrant Downtown, is seeking qualified community advocates for its 2020-21 Board of Directors.*
Persons with demonstrated accomplishments in development, marketing, and organizational capacity building, are especially sought. Business leaders with strong community relationships and a “can-do” attitude are desired to help strengthen the organization’s partnership with stakeholders to achieve mission success.
Regular Board meetings are held on the 4th Wednesday of the month at 5:30 p.m. Directors may also participate in subcommittee and relevant City meetings. New member terms begin their terms July 1, 2020. This is an opportunity to have your voice heard, make a positive difference, and be a champion for the “Downtown Vision Plan.”
Applications requested by 3 p.m., Monday, June 15, 2020.
The current sitting Board elects new members from nominations received and may require an interview prior to voting. The new Board will be announced at the meeting of June 24, 2020.
*To qualify for Board Membership, you must either own property (residential, commercial, or undeveloped) within the district boundaries or own a Downtown business.
